STUDENT LEARNING EXPECTATIONS

Student Learning Expectations  (SLE’s) 

Students at Saint Raphael School are expected to demonstrate the Holy Spirit in their lives with F.I.R.E. They are to “be who God meant them to be” in order to set the world on F.I.R.E.



Faith: I understand my Catholic faith and live it in my daily life. 

  • I can learn about my fatih, think critically about it, and how it connects across the curriculum 
  • I can develop my own spirituality and personal prayer life, and participate in the life of the Church
  • I can live out my faith by serving as an agent of peace and justice and respecting the inherent dignity of all human beings

Intelligence: I understand that I can learn and communicate what I know in many ways. 

  • I can be an active and reflective learner
  • I can recognize grade level proficiency or beyond as an academic goal
  • I can show understanding in multiple ways using the IACCT skills 

Responsibility: I understand that it is my responsibility to make virtuous, peaceful and just choices. 

  • I can take responsibility for my actions and choices 
  • I can understand the building and maintaining of relationships and the necessity of restoring them when needed
  • I can be a steward of the Earth

Excellence: I understand what it means to be the person God meant me to be. 

  • I can strive to do my personal best, take risks, and learn from my mistakes
  • I can demonstrate preparedness, time management, and self-advocacy 
  • I can set and achieve personal academic goals, recognize strengths and areas for growth through perseverance
  • I can recognize the need to care for myself in mind, body, and spirit
