ADOPT-A-STUDENT

You can help give a family the Catholic Education they desire!

Let us thank all those who teach in Catholic schools. Educating is an act of love; it is like giving life.    ~Pope Francis

Dear Friends of Saint Raphael School,

Educating is an act of love. The pandemic had affected our children in ways that we did not expect. As a result, our teachers were called upon to motivate, console, inspire, listen, and pray all while teaching a challenging curriculum to students who had forgotten study skills and social interactions. They were called to educate with love.

This past year it was so evident that the children needed the spiritual support of an education in a Catholic school. The pandemic created such anxiety in children and called them to learn in the uncertainty of what would happen next. Our teachers responded with one eye on the social and emotional health of their students while forging ahead with lessons. The teachers taught, and listened, and educated with love.

It is our faith that grounds us when the world around us is in upheaval. And that is the most important message we can give our children as we provide a challenging Catholic education. Our students have done well in writing contests, county speech competitions, and art presentations.

Parishioners and friends have generously responded to our tuition needs in the past, not only with funds but with prayers. You helped us to financially and spiritually weather the storm of the pandemic. You also help us continue to provide a stable environment where our children can feel safe in God’s presence, learn to work to their academic potential, and practice Christ’s call to love and serve others.

We again ask you to help us to continue the work of Saint Raphael School by contributing to the Adopt-a-Student Program. We trust that God will continue to bless the work that we do at Saint Raphael School. We ask God to bless our teachers who taught with life-giving love during a year with many challenges.

The brochure below details the Adopt-a-Student Program. If you have any questions about Adopt-a-Student or Saint Raphael School, please contact me at (415) 454-4455 or Collins@straphaelschool.com.

Thank you for your prayers and for making a difference in the lives of so many of our students.

In Christ,

Lydia Collins, Principal
