PTG (Parent Teacher Guild)

Information about our PTG and how to participate

The purpose of PTG is to first and foremost support our students!  Our efforts to raise funds and support the faculty, staff, ultimately create a stronger community within our school…something we are very proud of at SRS!  In order for us to be successful, parent involvement is critical!  There are several opportunities to show your support and be active this year.
  • Volunteer!! Volunteer!! The school relies on us---All of us! There are plenty of ways to help at school during the day or even in the comfort of your own home.
  • Take a leadership position on PTG or become a chair person on a committee
  • Of  course, we have events EVERY month…which is a great way to fulfill the 40 service hour requirement per family.

Research shows that students whose parents are involved in their education have better grades and fewer discipline problems. We are confident the time and energies you give to supporting school through PTG will make a positive impact on your child!

The PTG is governed by a Board which meets on a monthly basis. All members of the school community are welcome at the Board meetings. Meeting places and times are published in the bulletin.

The PTG, or Parent Teacher Guild, is responsible for organizing the events and fundraisers that benefit our school. The PTG plays a very important role in the school community. Each family and our dedicate faculty are members of the PTG. We all work hard to help this foundation of caring parents and faculty plan, facilitate and host successful events. Successful events mean more money raised to benefit our children and our school committee.
